we are older and just started riding, love this trail, beautiful scenery and most roots are marked with blue paint so you can see them easily, there are not that many roots. It was such a nice day, really enjoyed it. When we get better, we plan on taking this trail to Yorktown.
Very stressful trail! Terrible signage, MANY street crossings, some closures, rough in many parts.
Connects bird neck road path to the oceanfront. This is an old Norfolk slither rail trail. Currently there is about 7 miles that remains unused. There is a new light rail at the end

Challenging trail. Highly recommended a mountain bike. I have made it through with a gravel bike. Lots of sites. You can ride from Shore drive to the ocean in connecting roads and trails
Connects to dam neck trail. You can combine the trails and the ocean from and ride pretty safely for 15 mile.
This trail has some bumps on it but let’s you ride away from traffic for 7 miles. The. It connects to another trail to take you to the oceanfront. I ride it all the time.
Old route 17 and no interceptions. Very good place to ride with no interference of cars. Not a easy ride to get there if you want to bike to it
