Bert Cooper Trails

Good for beginners

April, 2023 by meganparks1402

My boyfriend and I like this trail, it’s flat for the most part, clean, and is relatively pretty. It does get crowded in the afternoon but not terrible. This weekend the wind was rough, for the first few miles it was brutal and the wind resistance was almost unbearable. I definitely recommend not coming on a windy day.

I ride this several times a week from my house. It's a fantastic ride, especially before the sun comes up. I've seen deer, skunks, a weasel of some sort and kittens.

Katy Trail (Oklahoma City)

Paved, no roads, uncrowded

Great bike trail that is 6ish miles one-way. Can start by parking over by Douglas Park/golf course and the trail is connected right to the sidewalks. Uncrowded, nice greenery, some bridges, followed by train tracks, then ending a little past the Railway/Firefighter/Science/Zoo Museum. Ends at a little dead end loop by Deep Fork River when you bike past some neighborhoods.

Spring Creek Trail (OK)

recommend

Nice pavement, a bench every once in a while, and beautiful green views. Really enjoy jogging this path. Not many people which is great and adds to the solitude.

Great!

The trail is well kept and nice. I only saw two other bikers. I wish it was longer or connected to other routes. I'll def bike it again.

Spring Creek Trail (OK)

Very nice!

Smooth pavement with clearly marked lanes for pedestrians and things with wheels. Nice inclines/declines. Entering the trailhead by Integris is a little bit confusing as you have to travel through the Integris parking lot to get to the trailhead parking area. Signs are clearly marked though. Highly recommended!

Katy Trail (Oklahoma City)

Secluded trail in City

February, 2020 by getbackjojo

This trail is a great connector to Northside of City. Ive ridden it many times with OBS & friends. There are still retired trains on tracks alongside the trail. It goes by two gold courses & its relatively flat except at the end there are some hills .

Will Rogers Trail

Loud and dirty

December, 2019 by attorney.shawnjoyce

I'd also add that this trail, while essential and much appreciated, does parallel I-44, a busy interstate highway, for much of its length. So the experience is very loud and not the greatest in terms of air quality.

This is a nice trail that connects the Oklahoma Rivers Trails with the Bert Cooper Trails at Lake Hefner. The only downside is the trail crosses major thoroughfares at Reno Ave., NW 23, NW 50, NW 63 and the Northwest Expressway, all of which result in long delays for the light to change. In addition, it crosses NW 16 at an intersection where eastbound and westbound traffic doesn’t have to stop or even slow down.

Cleveland Trail

Cleveland Trail - A lot of potential

February, 2017 by gkentwire

The highlight of this Trail is the abandoned trestle bridge over the Arkansas River on the north end. It spans high above the river with no barriers or rails Danger!! Beautiful Walk after a ride if you aren't afraid of heights. The Trail is asphalt but very rough, especially south and locals do NOT know how great the Trail is as dog droppings are everywhere.
