Darby Creek Trail (PA)

Don't miss the trail sections in Kent Park, along creek road to Swedish Cabin, over the new footbridge to Gillespi Park, Also, there is a section in Pilgrim Park and another above West Chester Pike. Together, they .are a full day of exploring.

pleasant ride

June, 2023 by mmikos99

We parked at lake Lenape lot. It was unpaved and consisted of packed gravel. Took the trail as far as callow hill. It was asphalt and in reasonable condition. Path is mostly flat with lots of opportunities to observe birds, critters and turtles. It mostly follows the creek. We ran into a few people but mostly had the trail to ourselves. Lots of wild flowers and great scents along the way We enjoyed the ride and will do the entire trail next trip

Enola Low Grade Trail

awesome trail

June, 2023 by ztk9qdnv2r

This trail was great. We did the entire thing up and back starting at the turkey point overlook. I would give this trail 5 stars if it wasnā€™t for the yellow gates towards Chester county that have no gaps next to them so you have to get off and on the bikes a couple times. We will definitely be riding this trail again.

D&L Trail

new Section from Nor-bath Trail to Catasauqua

June, 2023 by dmartindesign

Was excited to check it out. It was a mixture of paved, gravel and dirt with exposed roots so it went from smooth to pretty bumpy. Our group had a mix of mountain and gravel bikes and it was slow going on the rough sections. The drought made it a bit less scenic but nice pass under a trail trestle. Trail ends at Race St. and after a brief stint on roads, continues at the back of Taylor House Brewing. After that, goes on for the smallest bit before going back up to road.

Muhlenberg Rail Trail

This trail is perfect for beginner bicycle riders or older folks like me and my wife. It's flat, wide, and paved and maintained nicely.

rest stops

June, 2023 by kvnfield2

The trail is wonderful, very scenic. Wonderful for biking and hiking further north of Jim Thorpe, if possible, more benches along the trail to stop and take a rest would be nice.

Pennypack Trail

Rail trail Rockledge to Southampton superb, but one thing missing

June, 2023 by carlschrass_tl

The recovered former rail line from Rockledge to, now, Bristol Road in Bucks County is the paradigm of rail trail projects. The missing part, though, is a southward continuation into the City of Philadelphia, maybe a mile and a half, to the Fox Chase SEPTA station. That, however, will require an uncharacteristic effort on the part of the city. At least Bucks County seems to be making steady progress in extending the trail northward to the old rail terminus in Newtown.

Baxter Trail

As of Memorial Day weekend 2023: CLOSED

June, 2023 by carlschrass_tl

Despite reliable information to the contrary, the Pennypack Creek bridge gate was locked this weekend. It seems a big water lines construction project in the area of State Road and Pennypack Street has obliterated, for now, a significant length of this trail causing the closure. Looking at the scale of that project, the outlook for access to this trail for the foreseeable future seems grim.
