Don't miss the trail sections in Kent Park, along creek road to Swedish Cabin, over the new footbridge to Gillespi Park, Also, there is a section in Pilgrim Park and another above West Chester Pike. Together, they .are a full day of exploring.
Trail was great! Definitely glad I went clockwise as the downhill on the 2nd half was a huge relief!!! The Blue Herron was definitely putting on a show!!!
I wanted to stay local today… so picked this trail. Started at Knowlton Road trailhead. It is very nice… Nothing like realizing I did the trail only 1.5 months ago¿¿. Not realizing it until I got to the Septa Station end. The pic in the pre spring different than late spring. ¿
This trail was great. We did the entire thing up and back starting at the turkey point overlook. I would give this trail 5 stars if it wasn’t for the yellow gates towards Chester county that have no gaps next to them so you have to get off and on the bikes a couple times. We will definitely be riding this trail again.
This trail whines around the forest so you can’t go too fast but it’s a great shaded trail that’s completely paved for a leisure ride. I saw a lot of wildlife during my bike ride as well!
Nice well maintained, shady and pleasant to ride… after a nice you have something wonderful to eat at the Lake House.
Parked at Green Lane Park, was not aware that there is a bridge out shortly after the park. There is a workaround if you don’t mind driving on a busy road for a bit. The road is a bit hilly.
Nice ride on a Thursday night. There is street parking at the bridge end of trail. We parked in Victors pub parking loy, did our ride, then grabbed cocktails. Summer months will be very busy on weekends so suggest a weekday ride.
May 25th we rode 15 miles out and back from the Turkey Hill Preserve just off River Road. Crossing over both the Safe Harbor and Martic Trestles. Kudos to everyone who has made this trail what it is today. The condition of the trail is excellent. The trail is mostly flat both directions in the section we rode. There are plenty of wildlife especially birds including eagles and vultures. I highly recommend everyone to put this trail on their to do list.
We walked here for our first time and the family went went 3 hours. Trails are well maintained, nice river scenery, and clean! There is a sign about ticks, and we found 5 on us, but that was the only negative.
So many things to see, side paths to the river, white cliffs of Conoy, historic towns, interpretive signs, and frequent potties ¿ The whole 14 miles was paved, but there was a small detour told it would be done soon. Nice mix of sunny and shady. Pretty busy for a weekday, don’t recommend a weekend if you avoid it.
