I rode between Hogsback road and the Hilliard rd bridge. It was a really nice ride. I took the extended path through the woods. Nice river views, places to stop and stretch or exercise. I plan to continue my ride further tomorrow.
I rode this trail yesterday and it was very peaceful. Lots of greenery, a couple murals, you ride along the RTA line but it wasn’t bothersome. For beginners it’s definitely challenging as it has a few hills, I had to walk my bike up two of them as I just didn’t have the strength to ride up them. (My first ride in a few years). I loved the views of downtown and you can continue your ride as this trail joins another trail at Columbus near the bridge.
The crushed stone was a little dusty but the beauty of the trail more than made up for it! Enjoyed a bite to eat and live music at https://szalaysfarm.com/. We will return again!
Perfect to find your way from the Towpath to the Cleveland Zoo and Old Brooklyn neighborhood. Massive elevation at the top of the trailhead. Kids will likely walk bikes up.
Nicely paved, smooth trails. Small elevation gains. Leisure trail with casual riders and walkers. Nice add on to a Cleveland Zoo visit.
Very disappointed when I invited my Dad to meet me on this trail yesterday to ride after work! There are no trail markings or signage to let you know how to follow the bike trail which had us all twisted up and fighting with the city street traffic it was terrible!!
We started on W65th and Gordon Square which is a beautiful area, so they got the right idea with putting the trail over there but there has GOT to be better directions. If I would have brought my whole family, kids and all it would have been all bad how mixed and mashed up the route is!
Do better Cleveland Metroparks!
Beautiful scenery and a well maintained asphalt trail. Predominantly flat with a couple elevation changes that are noticable. Minimum traffic.
Love this trail. It was started by a group of volunteers who worked for several years before the Metro parks took over. A sign to commemorate their efforts would be appreciated.
Surprised to see this amazing trail that has great bed and breakfasts along it is not noted as part of the Great American Rail Trail. It sure would help demonstrate more GART completion if it was.
