Decent Trail-Not Much Scenery

May, 2023 by jallen1804

The asphalt surface is in good condition. Most of the trail runs along a highway. The scenery is nothing to get excited about.

Gainesville-Hawthorne State Park Trail

Nice Ride

Most of the trail is shady. The asphalt surface is in pretty good shape. We saw a deer on our ride.

Palatka-to-Lake Butler State Trail

Nice long flat ride

May, 2023 by pitsplace

We have rode this a couple times in the last couple months. We parked at north end point of main trail where future trail will cross HWY 100 north of Keystone. It’s not really a parking area but there is room for about 6 cars and I saw other people parking there so we did too. As other people have said it is within 20-30 yards at times of HWY100 but it ducks in and out of the woods and there is plenty of trail that isn’t close to the highway. We rode out 22 miles to south of the State Forest north of Palatka and then headed back. There is a little

Four Freedoms Trail

Has potential

May, 2023 by pitsplace

I’m going to echo some of the other reviews. It has potential but it needs some maintenance. There are a lot areas where roots have heaved up the asphalt bad and there not marked. It needs to be cleared of limbs and twigs and it isn’t marked real clearly at places as to which way you should go makes it a one and done for us. Trails like Gainesville, Jacksonville or West Orange are on a completely different level. Rode May10, 2023.

Great Trail

May, 2023 by eguydjr

Great trail, I only planned on riding 1/2 but the wife got ahead of me & we went all the way. Made the turn & it started the heaviest rain I've ever ridden in. we stopped at stations & under passes then stood in the rain as we waited for the train to pass. Finished up after the rain quit for a great ride.

Palatka-to-Lake Butler State Trail

fantastic trail

April, 2023 by curtiscannata

We did the ride from Palatka all way through Keystone Hts this week and it was amazing. Some false flats mixed in with some nice downhills make for great road biking route. We too pushed past the endpoint in Keystone Hts into newly paved trail. Could only go about 2.5 miles then it disconnects. But looks like other paved all the way into Hampton. Does anyone know the plans for connecting this to Lake Butler or not? Total ride end to end was 56.5miles.

Great Day bike ride

All paved, lots of shade, nice stops along the path, eating places close by. I highly recommend this trail.

Gainesville-Hawthorne State Park Trail

Quiet, shaded and scenic ride

March, 2023 by jamiealtum

What a beautiful and well maintained trail. Saw lots of wildlife - bald eagle, kite, hawks, armadillo, alligator, and several water snakes. Parked at Hawthorne trail head and rode to end plus the 2 mile connector into Gainesville where we had a pizza lunch. Quiet, shaded and scenic.

Palatka-to-Lake Butler State Trail

Great Trail!

February, 2023 by twdouget

It has been a number of months since we rode this trail. Today we found that at the "end" in Keystone Heights, mile 32ish, we were prepared to make our turn to return to Florahome. As we approached I saw that the construction to complete the trail to Lake Butler is going along nicely. Went across onto the "new" trail surface for just about 1.5 miles into the new pavement. Can't wait for the official opening.
Does anyone know how far this will extend the trail west from Keystone Heights?

Suwannee River Greenway at Branford

needing a lot of work

February, 2023 by csbstar

This trail need so much work!! There are potholes, uneven, sides are crumbling and roots uprising!! Also, there were way too many golf carts using this trail and even bigger side by sides and others. A shame, because it could be a wonderful trail to ride!

Jacksonville-Baldwin Rail-Trail

pretty nice trail

February, 2023 by jrutch

We parked at the Jameson trailhead (parking lot fills up quickly) - rode 7.5 miles one way for a 15 mile round trip - did not see any exotic animals except for cows..... -- road crossings were quiet -- the only downside was that we were looking for the connection to camp milton and did not see anything on the trail for that --- oh well -- otherwise a pleasant warm ride on a february afternoon (coming from NJ that was a treat)

Gainesville-Hawthorne State Park Trail

Nice Long Trail and Shaded

February, 2023 by jrmc21

I enjoyed the long 16+ ride out and back. Trail is in great shape. And shaded. The small hills in the 1st 3 miles out from Gainsville were a bit tough. Nice that it connects to a trail that goes further into Gainsville
