Shark Valley Tram Road

Nature ride

Arrow straight for 7 miles along a canal, watch for the wild life. Route back has curves but nothing crazy. Great ride, but bring water, No shade .

Ludlam Drive Trail

Peaceful

This is a peaceful trail in the middle of busy surrounding, much like Virginia Gardens itself. It’s lit at night. Surrounded by nice neighborhoods.

Central Trail (FL)

Better walking trail

March, 2023 by downeydc

Narrow asphalt path with lots of walkers. Not sure where 2.2 miles came from. Even up and back was only 1.4. I did notice a patch south of the dog park as I was leaving.

Rickenbacker Trail

Great ride!

February, 2023 by walker923

This is a great ride! Maybe not for everyone— you have a wide, smooth, bright green lane to yourself, but it is adjacent to a busy roadway. That’s plenty good for me. The state park at the end of the trail is very nice, and no traffic there.

Robbins Vista View Trail

better if better described

February, 2023 by vbergerg_tl

This is not a trail, it is a route around some nice parks connected by sidewalks along local roads, some quieter than others. TrailLink map is not especially helpful, it doesn’t even mention that the section along Orange Road and that canal actually starts and ends much further than mapped for the Robbin’s Vista View Trail and is nicer than many of the other street/sidewalk loops shown. A turn by turn with street names is badly needed. I’m

Cypress Creek Greenway

Really a local community path/trail

January, 2023 by dan263

West end is nice concrete, flat ride an wide path but with several road crossings. These crossings require short rides along a 5’ pedestrian walk and the crossings have heavy traffic……pay attention. The easterly end is not a trail, but mostly a road edge ride or on pedestrian walks. This section really should be removed from the mapped trail as it is unsafe and promotes illegal pedestrian walk riding. West end is great spot for locals and adjoiners.

El Rio Trail

roller skating ride

January, 2023 by pyj6qjh77m

Started at the north end by parking at the Hilton and meandering over. Pavement is awful between there and the Congress crossing. Avoided it on the way back. Rest of the path is manageable or really nice. Enjoyed the scenery. And iguanas. Would get out earlier next time to avoid some of the heat but there are shaded spots to stop. If I did it again, I may park near the tri-rail station or the Costco. Never found the guest parking near the university.

South Dade Trail

it is what it is

January, 2023 by faustoplaza

Just finish the trail from Coral Gables Old Cutler to 114 Ave then the south Dade Trail for a total 28 Miles. The trail is still deteriorating and lots of intersections are under construction, closed or bad signal but was able to finish it without any real incident and very safe from traffic. Still goes through not the best parts of Miami but we are all aware this trail crosses several unpopular parts of the county. Will repeat it next year and hope it improves once the intersections are finished.

Palmetto Park Road Path

palmetto park rd

Excellent well paved trail/sidewalk on the south side of Palmeto Park road running East and West. Approximately 6+’ wide with only a few intersections and driveways. Great for walking, jogging or biking.

Atlantic Greenway

e-bikes allowed?

December, 2022 by russncolorado

We would like to ride this trail but 78 yr old so I need my e-bike. A trek. 15 mph limit. Can I use it? Russncolorado@gmail.com

Krome Path

Lots of Crossings

December, 2022 by 2s9cjcppkn

This trail is nice but has a lot of driveways that people are constantly using. There is a lot of Debris on the path so use caution.

New River Greenway

Safe except for intersections

December, 2022 by ozzman

I rode from tree tops park on Orange Drive west to Hiatus road and then north to the Greenway from there and headed west to Markham park, where it ends. You might try to get on the levee behind Markham park if you wish and have time. The western part is very bike friendly except for the intersections but most have lights and crossing lanes. It intersects Hiatus Greenway on Hiatus road if you want to go north. Next time I will try going east and try to catch the Greenway from Nob Hill road. Still discovering!
