The trail is closed at Pundt Park with construction cones. Was able to park at Dennis Johnston park and ride west. But miss the long ride to Humble.
I saw a couple of Bald eagles by Revellie Park!
This is the perfect bike route for great flat rides and also a good number of small hills and elevation changes. The Dairy Ashford to Beltway 8, Eastbound section is the most challenging in my experience. The whole route distance is a nice balanced route for a really good workout.
Unfortunately, this is a very beautiful park. Pretty scenery and long trail
However, I did not have a good experience a black male with long grey beard tried to approach me and took off his black vest as (I started to run as soon as he tried walking towards me) once he saw people he took off the other way. I’ve contacted police but unfortunately they cannot do nothing because nothing happened however our community needs to be aware. This is not the first assault at this park 😞
We headed West and the only thing is that sometimes the trail ends and you have to go on the other side to continue but besides that it was a smooth ride, I recommend just be safe and maybe ride with a friend
This was the first time me and my friend rode this trail and we thought it was really nice, we parked at the parking lot on Almeda and rode East but didn't get too far due to some construction but we headed
The trail is wonderful. Very scenic. Well maintained and marked. Wonderful for biking or running.
If you start out in spring and head towards the rest of the trail there is a piece where it just ends. You literally have to walk/ride/run along the busy highway and then cut down a hill of tall grass to connect back on the trail.. super stupid.
We love riding this trail, because not only is it an interesting & pretty ride along the river, but also you really feel like you’re in the wilderness & away from it all. Path is in good condition & well marked
Don’t bother parking in the north lot and trying to ride the trail depicted on the map. Trail completely closed and blocked 1 1/2 mile south of the parking lot. Rrrrrrrrr….
